Marshmallow ROM for Lava Iris X8

1.This rom is available now for Lava Iris X8, It's a custom  rom from CM 13 RR v5.6.8 .

2.I have tried this rom and it's good, lots of Customization and Look's very good.

3.I have found no bug in this , otg not tried, camera and music player working fine, everything is working fine.

4.Comment If you find any problem/bugs.

5.Download ROM here and Patch here , place these files on sd card.

Steps for installing the ROM and it's patch:-

1.Your phone should have Kitkat android version , if you have Kitkat then move to the next step.Otherwise See my post here on how to install a custom rom.

2.If you are on Kitkat rom then you need to enable usb debugging mode(see pic below on how to enable usb debugging) , download These apps Kingroot and MobileUncle tools.You also need to download Custom Recovery CTR (Carliv Touch Recovery) for X8 .

3.Root your phone using Kingroot app(Note :- It downloads around 20MB , so you have to on a stable and fast Internet Connection , Use 3G recommended)

4.After rooting Open Mobileuncle tool ,grant permission and after that select Recovery Update , it will scan sd card for Recovery file, it'll find CTR and select it and apply and it will move to recovery page.(Image below is to guide you , in place of recovery img you'll find CTR recovery img )

5.Now select wipe menu>>wipe preflash all .

    6. Now go to Install Zip>>Install from sd card>>select the rom>>install , wait for the process to finish and after that install the patch and wait for the process to complete and after that go back and reboot your device.

How to Install a Custom ROM

                                            WEL COME

Hello Friends, in this post I'll show you how you can install a custom ROM on your Lava Iris X8 Device.

First of all you have to download the necessary files given below. 

Please note that your phone should have Kitkat stockrom installed before flashing any of the custom ROM. 

1.Download Kitkat rom here, If you dont have kitkat installed on your device/If you're using Lolipop rom on your phone.

2.SP Flash Tool Download Here & Lava Iris X8 Drivers Here

3.Download Kingroot here

4.Download Carliv Touch Recovery for Lava Iris X8 , place it in sdcard root (if your phone is in kitkat)

5. Download Mobile Uncle Tools here

6.Download the Custom rom you want to install on your device , and place it at the root of sd card (sdcard>Custom rom)

Now the Steps >

Please Note :- The steps coloured in blue are for those who have Lolipop rom on their phone and in black are for all.

      1.  First you need to Extract the Kitkat rom you've downloaded before                                               (Find MT6592_Android Scatter file in firmware folder)

                                                2.Open SP Flash tool , make sure it's in 'download only' mode, Select the scatter file in Scatter loading file , just like the pic below

  3.Make sure you have enabled Developer option in your phone ,(If you don't then Go to Settings>>About phone>>Click on Build Number (7 to 10 times) , Developer option will be unlocked ,Now go back to settings and Go to Dev. options and enable USB debugging.

    4. Go back to your pc prepare SP flash tool , turn-off your device , Start Download on SP Flash tool , Connect your phone and wait for it to finish the process. Follow the video below for Install stock rom on your device.

    5. Turn on your device and you'll be back to Kikat ROM.

    

    6.Install Mobile Uncle Tools , Kingroot,Enable Usb Debugging Mode (use above methods)

    7.Place the custom rom you want to install, in your sd card root folder.

   8.Now root your phone with Kingroot , your charge should be above 50% , you need good speed internet to download root files and to your phone to be rooted.

    9.Open Mobile Uncle tools , select recovery Update and select CTR(Carliv Touch Recovery placed in sdcard)

    10.After selecting the CTR recovery your phone will be at the Recovery mode , now select wipe menu>>preflash >>cache,dalvik cache and factory data will be reset .After that go back and select Install from sd card and select the custom rom you want to install .Wait for phone to complete the installation and phone to boot up.

Congratulations , you have successfully installed custom rom on your device.
